Big Mäc®The most famous burger ever was born in Pittsburgh in1968. By means of its inventor Jim Delligatti, Mc Donald´s franchisee, Big Mäc set out to conquer both the market and the world. However, only the sauce made Big Mäc what it ist today – the classic among all burgers. Then Jim Delligatti used to mix his daily amount by hand every morning – that´s absolutely inconceivable nowadays. What is left is the recipe: a Russian recipe for the sauce as the basis and … – even today more will not be revealed.

The Big Mäc and the stock market

Since 1968 the business paper The Economist has been publishing the Big Mäc index continuously. It gives information about the purchasing power corresponding to international comparison. Due to its worldwide availability the international standard composition of its ingredients and constant factors of production like hire or current the Big Mäc displays a little basket of available commodities.
